Mummy Punjabi Movie Review:

‘Mummy Punjabi’ is the story of Baby, a new age urban Punjabi mother, who is an entertainer and knows how to strike a balance between tradition and progressive mind. The story rooted in Chandigarh, shows Kirron Kher’s unique love hate relationship with her husband, her special bond with her kids and neighbours. It showcases how Baby, in due course of time, maintains her intensity and humour, even when she faces unnecessary and painful challenges in her life.
Kirron Kher with her ‘New Age Punjabi Mom’ avatar seems perfect with her looks, mannerisms which make her extremely hilarious, but fails to impress as the storyline lacks punches. Jackie Shroff is a total waste and does not quite suite the role of Kirron Kher’s admirer. Kanwaljeet gets a blink and miss role and is unable to make any significant contribution to the film, as he is snubbed by his wife Kirron Kher in the major part of the movie. The only character that stands out is firebrand Divya Dutta, as a bitchy snitch maid. Except Kirron Kher, none of the actors gather momentum. The story proceeds with all other actors showcasing their outrageously bad acting skills.
